JIM BLOOMFIELD- DIRECTOR

Jim is a selection and management development professional with international experience working across a range of industry sectors and job levels from call centre staff, salespeople, first line managers, leaders and executives up to and including board level. His projects span the design and delivery of objective selection processes, facilitation of assessment and development centres, one-to-one feedback sessions and career development interventions.

Prior to founding Bloojam Consulting Ltd in 2005, Jim worked in consultancy roles for market-leading psychometric test publisher SHL (UK) Ltd, and later, TMP Worldwide, the UK’s largest recruitment advertising agency. Some of the clients he has delivered projects for include HSBC, AXA, Direct Line Group, E.ON, Yorkshire Water, Experian, British Airways, BAE Systems, Toyota, Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), Home Office, Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), Ministry of Defence (MOD) and various NHS trusts.

Jim is accredited to use tools such as OPQ32, Wave, NEO PI-R, Myers-Briggs (MBTI), Hogan Development Survey (HDS), Dimensions, Profile:Match and Strengthscope. Jim is an Associate Member of the Association of Business Psychologists (ABP) and is registered as a Test User: Occupational Ability & Personality with the British Psychological Society (BPS).

SARAH CLAPPERTON- DIRECTOR

Sarah is a Business Psychologist with 13 years’ experience working in recruitment, selection and people development.  During this time Sarah has delivered many assessment and development projects across a range of job levels including call centre staff, salespeople, first line managers, leaders and executives.  Her experience includes the design of competency frameworks and end-to-end recruitment processes, psychometric testing, interviewing, design and delivery of development centres and facilitation of one-to-one developmental feedback sessions.

Sarah began her career as a consultant at the market-leading psychometric test publisher SHL (UK) Ltd in 2001 and has since gained extensive experience leading on projects for clients such as RBS, Vodafone, Diageo, E.ON, Lloyds TSB and National Australia Group.  Her more recent work in the public sector has given her a strong background in diversity issues, including reasonable adjustment in assessment processes.

Sarah is registered as a Test User: Occupational Ability & Personality with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and accredited to use a range of personality tools including Myers-Briggs (MBTI), OPQ32, Wave, Dimensions, NEO PI-R, Hogan Development Survey (HDS) and 15FQ.  She is a Chartered member of the British Psychological Society and its Division of Occupational Psychology, and is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council.

GRAHAM HUTT- ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT

Graham specialises in selection, assessment, development and coaching, working across a range of industry sectors and job levels from interns, customer service and call centre staff, to graduates, salespeople, first line managers, specialists & consultants, senior managers and executives. His projects span the design and delivery of objective selection processes, facilitation of assessment and development centres, one-to-one feedback sessions and career development interventions.

Graham initially worked as a Change Management consultant for a large financial services company before moving into HR roles and then into HR consulting, where he has been for the last 16 years.  He works with some of the leading HR consultancies, like SHL (UK) Ltd, and operates across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.  He has delivered projects for a very broad range of clients, including HSBC, AXA, Egg, Prudential, Nat West, AMP, BT, RWE Npower, Airbus, Highways Agency, British Council, Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), OFSTED, Ministry of Defence (MOD) and various NHS trusts.

He is accredited to use tools such as OPQ32, Wave, NEO PI-R, Hogan Development Survey (HDS), Talent Q Dimensions, EQi and various 360 tools. Graham is registered as a Test User: Occupational Ability & Personality with the British Psychological Society (BPS).

CLAIRE PARKIN- ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT

Claire is a Chartered Psychologist with over ten years’ experience practicing across a range of business settings. Specialising in assessment for recruitment and development, Claire’s expertise spans the design of competency frameworks and full end-to-end recruitment processes (including situational judgement tests and assessment centres), the delivery of assessments, including psychometric testing, interviewing and assessment centres and the design and delivery of development centres.  In addition, Claire is an experienced trainer and facilitator with a particular passion for designing and delivering team development sessions.

Claire gained her experience through her work for several leading consultancies and psychometric test publishers including SHL (UK) Ltd, Kenexa and TMP.  With broad experience in both the public and private sector and across a range of job roles, Claire has worked with clients such as Lloyds Banking Group, Siemens, The Home Office, E.ON, GLS and Merrill Lynch.

Claire is registered as a Test User (Occupational Ability and Personality) with the British Psychological Society.  She is accredited to use a wide of personality tools including: Strengthscope, OPQ32, Wave, Myers-Briggs (MBTI), NEO PI-R, and 16PF.  She is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council.

JOHN McFARLAND- ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT

John has been a consultant for the past 8 years, providing services to a range of clients and international consultancies such as SHL/CEB, Penna and Bloojam Consulting.  His work has mainly been in the areas of bespoke management development centres and selection processes, which has included working with Coca-Cola in the US, Asia and Europe, the United Nations in Rome, the European Patent Office in The Hague and Munich, as well as working with a variety of commercial organisations in the Middle East, mainly in Saudi Arabia.

In the UK, John has recently worked with public sector organisations such as Transport for London and YMCA Training, helping them with graduate development and a re-structure of their management team.  He has also been working with the newly developed EE Franchise Leadership Team, assisting them with their selection of franchise partners.

Prior to being a consultant, John worked at Barclays as a Resourcing and Training Manager, with specific experience in the area of Financial Planning.  Earlier roles include working in the HR team at KPMG and as an Assessment Consultant with Barkers Norman Broadbent (now part of the Penna Group).

John’s training experience involves the delivery of competency based interview training and assessor skills training.  He also works with SHL/CEB as a Course Director on Level A and B accreditation courses.  He is fully accredited with the British Psychological Society (Levels A & B), and he is accredited to use OPQ32 and Wave.
