Our development practice operates in three main areas;
One of the ways we identify development needs is through designing and delivering development centres. For example we have worked with an organisation who wanted to identify the development needs of a group of people who were seen as nearly ready for promotion. We created an event which stretched individuals in a range of challenging simulation exercises and gave immediate detailed feedback to both individuals and the management team. As a result of this event we were clearly able to identify those individuals who were ready for promotion and those who needed more time. For all individuals we were able to put together a comprehensive development plan to enable ongoing learning to be focused and appropriate for both the individual and the organisation.
We recognise that learning is an on-going journey and not all development needs to take place face to face. We offer a range of blended programmes which enable employees to mix learning approaches. Most of the courses we offer include a mix of self-directed learning and face to face elements. This allows the time spent on courses to be focused on the areas of learning that provide most benefit from face to face intervention. Courses can be tailored to include, and fit in with, your own company procedures and policies. We welcome the support from in-company learning managers to make sure that development truly reflects the needs of the organisation. Examples of the courses we offer are listed below:
We work with teams of all sizes (3-50+) to help improve team outcomes and performance. We facilitate the understanding of the team's role within the organisation, the challenges and issues facing the team and ways that they might overcome those issues. We make use of psychometric tools to gain greater understanding of the dynamics within the team, the tension points and the areas of strength.
